Advancement Operations Support Officer (HEO 4)

About the Role
Reporting to the Manager: Advancement Operations, you will contribute to the effective operation of Advancement by providing administrative, gift processing and database management support to the portfolio. You will operate within the Advancement Operations team and contribute to the health and maintenance of the University’s alumni and donor database to ensure the effective operation of the University’s alumni and donor relations programs and fundraising efforts. You will also undertake support and implementation activities for the University’s Visiting Research Fellowship program and make a positive contribution to the delivery of world class research collaborations.

The Unit aims to secure financial support from donors who wish to contribute to the achievement of the University of South Australia’s vision and values; engage alumni in the life of the University as volunteers, advocates, supporters and donors; and manage relationships with current and potential supporters of the University.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary certificate or greater in Business Administration (or similar) and/or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills in a data administrative role
- Demonstrated experience of working with databases, high level data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to prepare data for a range of activities and reporting requirements
- Experience analysing and interpreting data requirements and preparing internal reports
- Demonstrated computing and clerical skills including a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team and demonstrate initiative, multi-tasking and organisational ability, including experience in prioritising and meeting deadlines
- Sound interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to liaise with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds in a complex work environment
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based work environment
