Chicana and Chicano Studies - Part-Time Lecturer Pool
The Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool.
We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas.
- Intro to Ethnic Studies
- Communication Skills
- Introduction to Chicana and Chicano Studies
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary.
APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates for introductory courses (100- or 200- level) must have at least a Master’s degree in the field relevant to the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies curriculum. We require a Ph.D. or extensive professional experience for teaching upper-division courses (300- or 400- level).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and strong teaching evidence. Highly desirable is a candidate who can work effectively with a broad mix of students, including those with diverse cultural backgrounds, and varying socioeconomic and family college-going experiences. Preference will also be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
