"Graduate Assistant – Baseball "

Defiance College seeks qualified applicants for a graduate assistant baseball coaching position. The Defiance College Yellow Jackets will officially join the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) on July 1, 2024 for competition in the 2024-25 academic year and will become full members of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). Responsibilities include recruiting; field maintenance; assisting head coach in all phases of student-athlete mentoring, practice organization, fund raising, scheduling and budget; and other administrative duties as assigned. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, have previous Collegiate baseball playing or coaching experience, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record.

This is a two-year assistantship with a start date of August 1, 2024. The successful candidate must be accepted into the Defiance College graduate program in Education (MAE) or Business (MBA) and will be awarded a full graduate school tuition scholarship covering a maximum of 36 credit hours. Applicants pursuing a graduate degree in Education must hold a teaching license to be eligible for the Defiance College MAE program. Compensation includes a monthly stipend, college-provided housing, and a meal plan on campus when meals are served to students during the academic year.
