About the role
This post will manage the education operations for all of King’s Digital online programmes, underpinning each stage of the online student lifecycle. The post holder is responsible for implementing and delivering new processes, such as module availability and curriculum mapping.
They manage the Digital Curriculum Officers and communicate regularly with key stakeholders, such as the online programme administrators and the Programme Directors within King’s.
They will find ways to align processes of online degrees to those of on-campus degrees at King’s, and will consult with central services to ensure service excellence and an outstanding student experience.
This is a full time and you will be offered an indefinite contract
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Experience of working in higher education programme operations
- Knowledge of current and developing issues in Higher Education, in particular where these relate to online distance learners, and the ability to explain the implications to colleagues
- Ability to contribute to decision-making and to take informed and reasoned decisions taking into account complex and sometimes incompatible information, needs and views
- Excellent IT, administration, numeracy and literacy skills
- Proven ability to establish and maintain good relations with colleagues and with external contacts while exercising a high degree of discretion, tact, diplomacy, and determination. The postholder must be able to gain credibility with colleagues at all levels and win confidence in a variety of settings and situations.
- Proven ability to use initiative and respond positively to situations arising at short notice
- Experience of designing and implement changes in processes / development of new processes
- Outstanding attention to detail
Desirable criteria
- Experience in online degree operations
- Experience of team management
