An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Lecturer - Midwifery to join CQUniversity's School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences at the Rockhampton campus.

As a Senior Lecturer of Midwifery you will make significant contributions to the delivery of quality education and the academic and professional development of our students. You will also play a major role in scholarship, research and professional activities. 

The successful applicant will bring to this position relevant qualifications, experience delivering quality courses and units (including flexible learning and multi-campus delivery modes), and a proven research track record including recent published research outputs. 

Position Requirements 

• Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
• Possession of doctoral qualification (PhD) or equivalent in a relevant discipline. 
• Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education
• An understanding of current professional and educational issues in higher education.
• Proven ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery students and supporting their educational development through multi-modal delivery strategies. 
• Proven research track record with the ability to contribute to research in the School. 
• Ability and willingness to take a team leadership role and mentor junior academic staff. 
• Proven ability to develop innovative curriculum that ensure students are able to meet learning outcomes. 
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
• Proven ability to lead research projects, supervise research students and win competitive grants (desirable).
