Position Information

Hiring Department: Research Data Management 

Posting End Date: Open until filled. This posting may close once a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received.

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends

FLSA status: Non-Exempt

Earliest Start Date:  As soon as possible.

Salary: $55,000 annually

The primary accountabilities are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. Specific tasks or responsibilities will be documented in the incumbents’ performance objectives as outlined by the incumbents’ immediate supervisor or manager. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. A valid driver’s license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.


Purpose of Position

Collaborate with research compliance officers, subject matter experts, and department heads to assess training needs and prioritize content development initiatives.

Essential Functions

Collaborate with research compliance officers, subject matter experts, and department heads to assess training needs and prioritize content development initiatives. Training analyst may not always produce the content but will translate it to a consumable format.

Manage training records and databases, including third-party training platforms, such as CITI Program (citiprogram.org), to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Provide general training on pre-award/post-award tools or applications, created by the internal IT department, to staff and/or faculty as needed.

Develop training plans and schedules based on organizational goals and individual requirements.

Create comprehensive training materials, including guides, presentations, and interactive modules.

Facilitate training sessions and workshops, both in-person and virtually.

Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback mechanisms, adjusting as necessary.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure training initiatives align with federal regulations, university policy and best practices.

Create and manage a compliance training dashboard for reporting purposes. Track compliance and non-compliance users and provide reports to leadership.

Manage the research training inbox and respond to inquiries regarding training content or support.

Assist in the development and maintenance of the research training website.

Provide technical assistance by responding to support issues or questions with applications.

Demonstrated abilities with Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint. 

Complies with all Federal, State laws and University policies.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university within area of assigned responsibility.

Experience: Four years of related experience to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.                        

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Prior experience in coordinating training programs or initiatives is preferred.

Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and instructional design principles is a plus.

Experience with data analytics and reporting tools for assessing training effectiveness.

Familiarity with programming languages or databases a plus, but not required.
