This part time (0.37FTE), ESRC IAA Translational Funding funded post is available immediately until 30th April 2025 to support the work of Dr Eleni Dimitrellou. Its based at our St Luke`s campus.
The post
You will work on a small-scale empirical project to co-develop together with Devon County Council, local and international Educational Psychologists, a Social, Emotional Education (SEE) teacher professional development programme.
The main objectives are:
- to understand the mental health needs of teachers in the South West
- to co-produce together with Devon County Council (DCC), external advisors and a multidisciplinary team of university researchers a new wellbeing teacher professional development program consisting of five asynchronous online sessions (3.75hrs) to enhance teacher outcomes on SEL skills and efficacy in addressing SEMH needs.
- to evaluate teacher SEL skills and self-efficacy before and after the delivery of the teacher professional development programme
- to assist with organising two knowledge-exchange webinars (2hrs) to evaluate the SEE teacher professional programme
About you
You will:
- be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies
- possess a relevant PhD (or nearing completion) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study
- be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes
