SWUFE-UD Institute of Data Science at SWUFE (License No. MOE51USA02DNR20191972N), approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education, is jointly established by Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and the University of Delaware. It is located in Chengdu, China. Three undergraduate programs are offered in the joint institute: Information Management and Information System, Financial Mathematics, and Logistics Management, and we enrolled the first cohort of students in fall 2020. The institute aims to become internationalized innovation demonstration zone of the construction of first-class disciplines and undergraduate programs.

Job Description
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are welcome:

3. English Literature and Composition
4. English Intensive Reading
5. English Linguistics

Job Requirement
Applicants are invited from those with teaching interests in English, and will devote themselves to inspiring and motivating students as well as responding professionally and supportively to their written work and oral presentation by providing courses and guidance for undergraduate students regarding spoken English, academic writing, professional writing, intensive reading, and/or English literature. In terms of English teaching, the post holder will be expected to make a significant teaching contribution.

The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and have a minimum of two years’ teaching experience in Higher Education. Master’s and Doctoral degrees are preferred. Candidates should have demonstrable experience of high-quality teaching with the ability to carry out on-campus teaching in Higher Education, as well as English learning supervision, along with excellent oral and written communication skills. A native English speaker with a Master’s degree in English, Cross-cultural Communication, Linguistics, TESOL/TEFL and other related area will be greatly preferred.

Application Information
Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract. Salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
