Skills/Qualifications
The competition is open to a person who meets the requirements of Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science.
I. Eligibility requirements:
- Master's degree in Physical Education,
- PhD degree,
- at least 5 years of experience in conducting sports and teaching classes with young people, or adults,
- In the case of foreigners, knowledge of spoken and written Polish is required.
An additional advantage will be:
- Qualifications: volleyball coach, fitness – strength exercises, instructor corrective gymnastics,
- high personal culture, excellent work organization, ability to motivate the group, availability, punctuality.
2. Required documents:
- a written declaration of willingness to join the competition, addressed to the Rector,
- personal questionnaire for a person applying for employment,
- a statement of no criminal record,
- copies of documents confirming education and professional qualifications, in particular: a university diploma, the right to practise a profession, a certificate of recognition of a foreign diploma as equivalent to a Polish diploma (if applicable),
- other documents confirming the qualifications held (list of publications with the IF scale, ministerial score, certificates, etc.)
3. Required Declarations:
- a statement of consent to the processing of personal data,
- a statement stating that if the competition is won, the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice will be the primary workplace within the meaning of the Law on Higher Education and Science,
- Statement on:
- having full legal capacity,
- exercising full public rights,
- failure to be convicted by a final judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal crime,
- failure to punish with a disciplinary penalty referred to in Article 276(1)(7) and (8) of the Law on Higher Education and Science,
- a statement on having only citizenship of the Republic of Poland and on not residing in countries other than the Republic of Poland and the state of citizenship in the last 20 years, in accordance with Article 21(4) and (5) of the Act on Counteracting the Threat of Sexual Crime and the Protection of Minors.

Submission of documents
Documents should be submitted in Polish, in a closed (signed with name, surname) envelope with the annotation:
"Competition for the position of teaching assistant in the Department and Department of Basic Biomedical Sciences Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec"
in person or by post until 28.08.2026 at 3:30 p.m. (the date and time of receipt of documents is decisive) in the Chancellery of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, 15 Poniatowskiego Street, room 15. 11, ground floor, Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

VI. Results of the competition:
- Information about the result of the competition will be published on the BIP SUM website: https://bip.sum.edu.pl and the minister responsible for higher education within 30 days after its completion (in accordance with Article 119(3) of the Law on Higher Education and Science.
- Please be advised that we do not return the submitted documents.
- The University reserves the right not to settle the competition without giving a reason.
- The result of the competition is not tantamount to employing the candidate, but is a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The final decision on employment is made by the Rector.
- The candidate selected through the competition will be obliged to conclude a separate agreement prohibiting conducting activities competitive to the University.
