"Teaching Associate/Recitation Instructor in Computer Science"

Description

The NYU Shanghai computer science program has several openings for Teaching Associate/Recitation Instructor. The employment term of this position begins in Fall 2021, and the work location is Shanghai, China. This role entails a combination of teaching and other academic support responsibilities.

Candidates must have an excellent command of both spoken and written English, be passionate about teaching, and have competence in more than one programming language (e.g., C, Java, and Python). Experience in teaching Computer Science or related courses in English is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Teaching Associate/Recitation Instructor’s commitments will include teaching recitations for computer science, preparing labs and assignments for courses, grading homework and exams, and providing one-on-one support to students during the academic year. Enthusiastic dedication to the Computer Science program is essential.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
