Job Summary
The School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks either a full- or part-time instructional staff member with expertise in strategic communication. We seek a colleague who enjoys close collaboration with fellow instructors to help continue building one of the top strategic communications programs in the country.
Principal duties will include:
- Prepare and teach strategic communications courses; hold office hours; prepare, administer, and grade exams; prepare, assign, and grade coursework. Possible classes include, but are not limited to: JOURN 345, JOURN 445, JOURN 447, JOURN 449, JOURN 463, JOURN 464, JOURN 465, JOURN 475.
- Collaborate with faculty on curricular developments.
- Oversee and advise one of the school's strategic communication-related student organizations.
- Participate in faculty governance by actively contributing on 1-2 departmental committees.
- Contribute to external relations efforts with employers and alumni in strategic communication.
