Students are taught in small classes typically through face-to-face delivery supplemented by online learning technologies. Their learning is facilitated via experiential teaching practices and authentic assessments. Bond Business School focusses on high quality research which is typically aligned with its three research pillars in Data Analytics; Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise; and Governance, Accountability and Purpose.
This position is a technical and teaching support role for the delivery of subjects in the Bachelor of Enterprise Artificial Intelligence and Master of Enterprise Artificial Intelligence programs which commence in 2027.
These interdisciplinary programs combine core principles of computer science and artificial intelligence with business and data-driven decision-making and entrepreneurial thinking. They are designed to equip students with the technical skills and commercial acumen necessary to develop, implement, and manage AI-driven business applications and digital systems across diverse settings, including business, government, and nonprofit organisations.
Positioned as a hybrid version of a full computer science degree, the programs provide strong foundations in programming, systems analysis, databases, and AI/ML (Machine Language) toolkits, including agentic AI. They emphasise applications to solve real-world business problems in areas such as finance, marketing, operations, and strategy. The role will provide technical support, laboratory instruction, and academic assistance to ensure high-quality, industry-relevant learning experiences.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
1. Teaching and Learning Support
- Deliver laboratory classes and tutorials in Enterprise AI and related IT subjects.
- Support students in developing practical skills in AI systems, programming, and infrastructure.
- Provide academic guidance and feedback on student work in alignment with course learning outcomes.
2. Curriculum and Resource Development
- Design and develop hands-on workshops, lab exercises, and assessment tasks in AI and computing.
- Assist academic staff in maintaining contemporary, industry-aligned teaching materials.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of subjects through feedback and innovation in delivery.
3. Technical Support for Teaching Infrastructure
- Support the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AI teaching environments.
- Assist in deploying and managing AI-related infrastructure (e.g., virtual machines, agent-based systems).
- Ensure availability and reliability of systems used in teaching laboratories and workshops.
4. Student Engagement and Support
- Provide technical and academic assistance during labs and consultations.
- Encourage best practices in coding, system design, and AI deployment.
Selection criteria

The position is offered initially on a part-time (0.6 FTE) basis as a 12-month fixed term contract.
The level of appointment will be determined by the Selection Panel commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience in line with the position descriptions and selection criteria below.
About the person
The successful applicant will have demonstrable expertise in artificial intelligence and its applications in a business environment. They will also meet the following criteria:
- Have a Masters level qualification (or higher) in a relevant discipline.
- Be proficient in operating systems, including Linux and Windows (with exposure to macOS desirable).
- Demonstrate knowledge of AI infrastructure, including deployment of agents, virtual machines, or related environments.
- Have programming capability in Python, with additional experience in languages such as C, C++, or C# desirable.
- Possess foundational networking knowledge, including configuration of networks, routing, and switches.
- Have prior experience in delivering laboratory classes or tutoring in a university or professional training context.
- Be able to explain technical concepts clearly to students with varied levels of expertise.
- Be experienced in developing practical teaching materials (e.g., workshops, labs, or assignments) in IT or AI-related areas.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling them to work effectively in a team with colleagues in the Business School and other work units.

The salary for this position is outlined below and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
