"Teaching-Focused Lecturer in Industry WIL (Level B)"

About the position

Join La Trobe University’s Work Integrated Learning Academic team and help shape the future of student employability. As part of a university-wide strategic initiative commencing in 2026, La Trobe is positioning itself to deliver a new program of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) at scale. This includes consolidating discipline-specific, placement-based elective subjects into a centrally delivered subject suite, broadened to include new project-based WIL options embedded across the undergraduate curriculum.

As a Teaching-Focused Lecturer in Industry WIL, you’ll coordinate and teach undergraduate and postgraduate subjects that deliver real-world industry project and placement experiences. Your work will empower students to develop employability skills across domestic, cross-cultural, and international settings.

• Deliver engaging teaching and coordinate subjects in face-to-face, blended, and online modes.
• Design and innovate curriculum that embeds employability and work-based learning.
• Collaborate with academic and professional teams to enhance student experiences and industry engagement.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students, ensuring their success in diverse environments.

Skills & Experience

• PhD or postgraduate qualification with relevant professional experience, or equivalent.
• Proven effectiveness in teaching and curriculum development.
• Expertise in work-based learning, employability, or career development.
• Track record of innovative initiatives that have improved student outcomes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
