Team Operations Coordinator - Men's Basketball (DOBO)
Job Description
The University of Texas at San Antonio is seeking a Team Operations Coordinator for Men's Basketball (DOBO).
Job Summary
To provide organization, management, and administration for UTSA athletic team. Coordinate and implement the administration, management and execution of strategies in support of the goals and objectives of the athletics program.
Core Responsibilities
- Works closely with coaches and athletic department personnel to ensure compliance paperwork is appropriately completed and submitted.
- Coordinates ticket requests and distribution with the Ticket Office.
- Organizes team community activities and programs. Makes recommendations to coaches for new team events, and specific details of planned events.
- Serves as primary liaison to the marketing department for home game activities.
- Assists with recruiting on-campus.
- Responsible for team travel arrangements and meals. Ensures travel arrangements are optimally structured to provide efficient team management, while conforming to University/NCAA guidelines.
- Gathers and reviews information on academic and athletic development of student athletes.
- If designated, may provide technical and tactical instructions to student-athletes, but may not recruit off-campus.
- Assists with the organization and delivery of summer camps and special programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Two years of professional work experience OR a minimum of two years as a collegiate basketball player OR one year of experience in collegiate athletics support and/or administration.
- Knowledge of NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.

- Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Information
UTSA is a tobacco-free campus. This is a security-sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire. Valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) as applicable.
Working Conditions
Office environment. Frequent evening and weekend hours required. Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
Physical Demands
Sedentary: Up to 10lbs - Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
