Your next career opportunity
As the Technical Artist (Virtual Production) on a fixed-term, you will prepare and optimise real-time LED volume content and provide on-set technical support for student and research projects. You will gain hands-on experience with Unreal Engine, nDisplay and multi-node rendering workflows while collaborating across the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music on the Southbank campus.
What you will deliver:
  • Pre-production and on-set Support: Brief and support students, researchers and project teams; prepare and refine Unreal Engine projects and 3D assets; provide on-set operational and technical assistance.
  • Real-time Content Validation and Optimisation: Validate multi-node real-time rendering, optimise LED volume content for nDisplay, and ensure performance meets studio requirements.
  • Technical Maintenance and Documentation: Assist with installation, configuration and routine maintenance of LED volume studio systems; maintain accurate documentation and operational procedures.
  • Collaboration and Compliance: Liaise with the Virtual Production Lead, faculty staff and external partners; ensure adherence to safety, operational and university requirements.
You may be a great fit if:
  • You are a hands-on technical artist with proven experience in Unreal Engine and real-time rendering workflows.
  • You possess practical knowledge of nDisplay or multi-node rendering and LED volume content optimisation.
  • You have strong communication and documentation skills, able to brief and support students and researchers.
  • You are organised and autonomous, capable of managing workflows and maintaining studio systems to established standards.
  • You are collaborative and adaptable, comfortable working in an educational environment supporting teaching and creative projects.
