Technical Reporting Analyst
The University is currently going through Finance Transformation Programme moving from an on-premise solution to a cloud-based ERP solution. The role will be based within the Finance Division, and you will be working with both colleagues from the programme and future users of the system.
You will work with the reporting team and technical team to deliver key financial reporting through different oracle reporting tools. This will be critical to successfully launching the new finance system providing a wide range of stakeholders key information. You will be working with various project workstreams and stakeholders to interpret requirements and deliver reporting solutions. You will provide both technical and non-technical support to all workstreams.
The Role
- The role has ownership for creating selected reports, working in collaboration with the workstream lead and system implementers to gather requirements, produce functional and technical specification documents, and build reports to those specifications.
- You will ensure quality whilst collaborating with the programme team in planning and delivering reporting throughout all phases.
- Assessing third party integrations and reviewing functional and technical documentation.
- Identifying solutions to technical issues and testing to ensure robustness.
Your Skills
- Experience writing reports in Oracle Fusion
- Experience writing reports in Oracle BIP and OTBI
- SQL at intermediate level
- Producing Functional and Technical documentation for reports
- Communication skills
- Stakeholder management
- Technical understanding of integrations
- Testing

Location
The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 October 2027 in the first instance.
