Minimum Requirements HS Diploma or equivalent One year of experience in library support, technical services, or a related field involving detailed manual tasks and the use of library systems. In lieu of the experience requirement, additional related education above and beyond what is required may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis. Skills : Basic computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications Ability to quickly learn and accurately use the library's primary software (ALMA). Ability to learn and accurately use the library binding software (ABLE). Good verbal and written communication skills Good customer service and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform various technical tasks Manual dexterity and ability to work with hands. Essential Functions Performs preservation activities under the direction of the Preservation Librarian, including the care, repair, stabilization, and preparation of library materials using established procedures. Provides administrative support for the Technical Services Department, serving as the primary point of contact for visitors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Provides operational and administrative support for departmental projects and initiatives. Maintains records related to the binding and processing of library materials. Other duties as assigned.
