Salary Range: $82,922 - $92,203 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

Work that matters
As the Technician, Research and Testing within the College of Engineering and Information Technology, you will help support the preparation and execution of vehicle and equipment testing activities at the Centre for Automotive Safety Research, including maintaining laboratory equipment and preparing documentation to support testing programs and external reporting requirements.
You will support the day-to-day operation of the laboratory and testing facilities, while maintaining safety protocols, procedure and quality control measures.

The team
Reporting to the Manager, Impact Lab Engineering, this role will also have direct key relationships with the technical and laboratory staff within the Research, Engineering and Technology sub function, academic and research staff, as well as internal and external stakeholders.

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
Experience supporting laboratory or technical environments, including operation of equipment and participation in testing activities
Experience maintaining, calibrating and verifying technical equipment and instrumentation
Ability to follow established procedures, protocols and safety requirements with accuracy and attention to detail
Experience preparing and maintaining documentation and records to support operational and reporting requirements
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team within a technical environment
Experience supporting safe work practices within laboratory, workshop or operational settings
