"TEMP-Youth Care Attendant - Campus Recreation"

Job Summary

Plan, organize, and provide quality care and engaging activities for children in the Flexcare program. Supervise children in a safe, nurturing environment while supporting their social, emotional, and physical development. Activities may include arts and crafts, games, reading, free play, and age-appropriate enrichment opportunities. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: children, parents/guardians, faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate FlexCare Programming activities and supervise participants.
• Ensure FlexCare Attendants and Participants are Adhering to Georgia Tech and CRC risk management policies and procedures.
• Assist with day-to-day operations of the FlexCare Programming.
• Document injuries or incidents as they occur and communicate those to the Competitive Sport Coordinators.
• Participate in Georgia Tech and Campus Recreation special events, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma.

Required Experience

Up to two years of job related experience. CPR/AED Certified - Obtain 30 days after starting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

This job requires skills as applied within a large recreational facility coupled with specialized knowledge in area of responsibility.
