Essential Job Functions

The Energy Specialist will serve as a key point of contact between Facilities Operations shops such as Controls, HVAC, Preventive Maintenance and Energy Management. This role will help ensure timely, accurate communication for Building Automation System (BAS) changes, assist in responding to hot/cold calls, and support other operational needs as assigned by Energy Management and the Controls Shop.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal communications between Facilities Operations shops regarding BAS adjustments and related needs.
• Receive and respond to hot/cold calls, ensuring prompt follow-up and measure accuracy of room temperature sensors.
• Communicate University temperature and scheduling policies to students, faculty and staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Energy Management and the Controls Shop.
