Temporary Faculty - Art & Design
Position Summary
The University of Idaho Department of Art & Design seeks applications for a temporary lecturer for the 2025-2026 academic year, to teach undergraduate and upper division courses. Ideal applicants are enthusiastic about art, excited to teach design, love working with students, have a strong desire to work collaboratively, and are determined to make a difference in the world.
Proposed courses may include:
- ART 1100 – Introduction to Art: Why Art Matters (3 credits)
- ART 1110 – Drawing I (3 credits)
- ART 1210 – Integrated Design Process (3 credits)
- ART 2160 – Digital Tools (3 credits)
- ART 4070 – New Media (3 credits)
- ART 3800 – Digital Imaging (3 credits)

Minimum Education/Degree Required
Master’s or other terminal degree in related field.
Required Qualifications
Experience teaching in university setting and/or design practice experience.
