Temporary Faculty Criminal Justice and Criminology

The Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Georgia Southern University is seeking applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions for the 2025-2026 academic year. These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis and require work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses related to criminal justice and criminology. Assignments may include various modalities such as face-to-face, hybrid, and online, based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications: Earned J.D. or a Master's or Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology or a closely related field, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Criminal Justice and Criminology at the time of appointment. Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives and best practices in instruction, pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design.

Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of successful college/university teaching experience and interest in developing/teaching courses using multiple formats including face-to-face, online, and synchronous learning.

Proposed Salary: This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
