Temporary Faculty Curriculum, Foundations, and Reading
Job Summary
The Department of Curriculum, Foundations, and Reading is now accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions for the academic year 2025-2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses for BSED programs or graduate courses for MAT, MEd, EdS, or EdD programs. Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online). Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in one of the following fields: Educational Psychology, Social Foundations of Education, Reading/Literacy Education, or Master's degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in one of these three fields. For courses 6000 level or above: Earned Doctoral degree in Education or one of its related subfields with at least 18 graduate semester hours in either Social Foundations of Education, Curriculum Studies, Educational Psychology, Educational Research, or Literacy Education. Ability and willingness to teach face-to-face undergraduate courses offered Monday through Thursday. Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives. Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development. Willingness to teach online courses.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience in higher education. Expertise in at least one or more of the following: learning theory, motivation, assessment, human development, social foundations of education, or reading/literacy education.

ABILITIES
Consistently exhibit engaging customer service. Ability to support various constituencies served by the University. Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position.
KNOWLEDGE
Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success.
SKILLS
Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills.
