The Department of Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Special Education (ELCSE) of the College of Education and Behavioral Science is seeking applicants for a 9-month, non-tenure track Temporary Instructor of Special Education position. Candidates will teach in an online Special Education Program, which may include initial and advanced programs in special education K-12. The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator and have a desire to connect with colleagues and build relationships to ensure a strong program. The successful candidate will have experience in developing and teaching special education and curriculum courses, mentoring students, and being involved in appropriate activities for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the program. Candidates are expected to be well-versed in behavior management, characteristics of exceptional learners, special education law and ethics, educational assessment, the Science of Reading, and experience in supervising field activities
