Temporary Part-Time Faculty, Clinical or School Psychology Instructor (Unsolicited)
Job Summary/Basic Function:
The department of Psychology is accepting applications for Temporary, Part-time Instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to clinical psychology or school psychology. Duties include teaching face-to-face and/or online classes days, evenings or weekends as scheduled and being available to students by holding appropriate office hours.
In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.
The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment. Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. In the event that you are interviewed but not immediately hired, your application will remain in the departments pool of qualified faculty.
A complete application will include:
- Cover letter describing qualifications for the position.
- Current curriculum vitae or professional resume.
- Copies of registrar-issued transcripts for all degrees conferred and in progress.
- Two letters of professional reference dated within the last 12 months.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or related discipline.
- Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, supervision, scholarship and service.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
- Successful interview.
- Successful teaching demonstration for class teaching assignments.
- Successful completion of three background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD or ABD in School Psychology or Clinical Psychology or related discipline.
- Experience as a School or Clinical Psychologist.
- Experience supervising graduate students in field activities and placements.
- Prior college-level teaching experience.
