Temporary, Part-Time General Business Instructor (Unsolicited)
Job Summary/Basic Function
The department of Accounting & Finance is accepting applications for a Temporary Part-Time Faculty Member to teach undergraduate courses in international business as well as general business topics, conducting in-person lectures, creating assessments, and fostering inclusive learning environments. Requirements include an MBA, MS in a relevant field, or J.D., and prior business experience. Previous teaching experience is preferred, and strong communication skills are essential. Additionally, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.
The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in a business discipline or a JD.
- Relevant business experience.
- Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive practices and working with diverse student populations.
- Successful interview.
- Successful teaching demonstration for class teaching assignments.
- Successful completion of three background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or ABD in a business discipline.
- A relevant professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFP, CFA, FRM, etc.), and business experience.
- Prior college-level teaching experience.
