Job Description Summary

The Peralta Community College District invites applications for our Temporary, Part-Time Faculty pool in the following disciplines:

PSYCHOLOGY

Minimum Qualifications

1. Possession of a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in psychology;
2. OR
   Possession of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in psychology;
   AND
   A Masters Degree in counseling; sociology, statistics, neuroscience, or social work;
3. OR
   May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Psychology. (California credentials were no longer issued after July 1, 1990).
4. OR
   The equivalent qualifications. (Candidates who claim equivalency must provide conclusive evidence...)
5. AND
   Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

For non-Masters degree disciplines, please note that the District requires four years of experience with a Bachelors degree and six years of experience with an Associates degree.
