Your Role on the Team

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responds to patient concerns, issues, and grievances; investigates confidential matters, documents activities, and escalates when necessary.
  • Tracks and analyzes patient experience data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and system failures.
  • Assists patients in interpreting hospital policies, procedures, and services; educates patients about their rights in accordance with state law.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery of patient-centered care and assists in creating hospital-wide patient service programs.
  • Identifies priority satisfaction issues, drafts proposals for new initiatives, and contributes to team goals and strategies.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve patient issues using sound judgment and diplomacy.
  • Proven customer service skills with the ability to maintain professionalism, patience, and empathy without admitting wrongdoing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and experience in a hospital or clinical environment.
  • Familiarity with UC policies and procedures.
