Cornell Recreational Services offers a wide variety of fitness, wellness, sports and open recreation activities for Cornell students, staff, faculty, retirees and their spouses/partners. Through our broad-based programs, we try to promote a healthy and holistic lifestyle throughout the campus community.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Fitness Program and Noyes Community Recreation Center (NCRC), the Program Coordinator of Noyes Community Recreation Center (NCRC) & Intramural Sports assists with the stewardship and support of the variety of services offered during the evening hours at the NCRC and through the Intramural program. This role provides both direct and indirect support for all necessary facility oversight, activity programming, and general customer service to ensure that services within this assigned area proceed as intended and are aligned with organizational goals and SCL values. As the first point of contact for visitors/participants, this role utilizes outstanding customer service in interacting with all patrons, providing information, distributing necessary athletic equipment, and ensuring that the facility is being used in accordance with safety rules and regulations. In addition, the position assists in the oversight of student staff of Noyes CRC and Intramural Sports which includes scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and direct support.
This position is full-time, 10.5 months per year. The typical working schedule for this position is Thursday to Monday from 5pm - 1am. During the academic calendar breaks and intercessions, work hours and location may be adjusted to conform to building hours, including a three-week closure during the winter holiday.
The hourly rate for this position is $24.75/hr. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Required Qualifications
- Associate degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 1 year working for an intramural sports department and or intramural officiating experience
- American Red Cross Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications at start of employment or within 30 days of hire as well as the American Red Cross Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED Instructor certification at start of employment or within 6-months of hire.
- Excellent customer service, organizational skills, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft office, e-mail, spreadsheets, and social media applications.
- Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional recreational facility and supervision experience.
- Experience with IMLeagues and Subitup program
- Experience with recreational activities and athletic equipment, and/or working with college students.
- Marketing and event promotion experience with a focus on social media.
