Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain cell culture for various cell line: Make cell culture plates. (40% of time)
• Make buffers for various projects and perform limited experiments such as TCID50, RNA extraction or QPCR. (40% of time)
• Ordering lab supplies. (10% of time)
• Follow-up with companies and equipment repairs. (5% of time)
• Maintaining chemical/reagent inventory, equipment maintenance. (5% of time)

FLSA: Non-Exempt

FTE: 0.50

Position Summary: Ordering, maintaining chemical/reagent inventory, equipment maintenance, follow-up with companies and equipment repairs. Maintain cell culture for various cell lines, make cell culture plates and buffers for various projects, and perform limited experiments.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position: Microbiology

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Experience working in BSL2 and cell culture.
