Temporary Research Assistant - Human Performance/Exercise Physiology Division

The Department of Human Performance at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Research Assistant.
About the Opportunity
The Research Assistant will work under the direction of the PI/PD to implement work plan goals and objectives pertaining to data collection, reporting and evaluation according to federal guidelines and standards. The Research Assistant will assist in development and implementation of a tracking system for performance metrics of the program.
What You'll Do
- Develop protocols for characterizing acute changes in body composition using multi-modal medical imaging modalities (CT, PET/CT, MRI)
- Perform multivariate evaluations of body composition using multi-modal medical imaging modalities (CT, PET/CT, MRI) according to various protocols
- Curate learning materials pertaining to the physiological basis of body composition measurement techniques & specific use applications
- Draft scientific publications regarding body composition characterizations and their relevant applications ranging from physiological all the way through to clinical measurement
- Perform data analytics on various large datasets
- Manage human research study protocols and collected data
- Draft scientific publications regarding nutrition and physiology in young adult populations
- Draft scientific publications regarding dental health and physiology in young adult populations
- Draft scientific publications regarding educational psychology in young adult populations
Pay Grade: 20
Length of Assignment: Approximately 3 months
Qualifications
- Master's degree in public health, business, public health administration.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience with REDCap data entry, collection, reporting analysis and evaluation.
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
- All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in computers and computer-based software's (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
