Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant within Pediatrics Population Science at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
Directly under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Temporary Research Assistant will support research focused on improving health outcomes and healthcare delivery for children, adolescents, and families impacted by pediatric cancer and sickle cell disease. The Temporary Research Assistant will be involved in tasks including qualitative interviews and data collection, transcription of interviews, and coding qualitative interviews. The Temporary Research Assistant will learn valuable research skills as well as professional career development skills under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Engage in data collection, including qualitative interviews and surveys per study protocol.
- Transcribe, clean, and code qualitative data.
- Conduct literature reviews.
- Research activities may require flexible (i.e., evening or weekend) activities on occasion per project demands.
- Attend lab meetings.
- Attend workshops, seminars, lectures, and career development activities as available.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Those who wish to prepare for a career in psychology, public health, biomedical sciences, or affiliated fields are encouraged to apply.
