Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant in the Department of Center for Immunity and Inflammation within the New Jersey Medical School ( NJMS ). Temporary, full-time position. Under direction, the Temporary Research Assistant performs and assists with technical laboratory procedures and analyses in support of specialized research activities of the laboratory. Assists in the set-up, and conducting of experiments as required. Performs other related laboratory duties as required. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Under general guidance, provides laboratory and technical support involving research methods and techniques. Performs multistage purifications, other assays and tests; propagates specimens and cell cultures. Communicate and collaborate with numerous individuals on all facets of the project. Assists with experimentation and research activities. Assists with the maintenance of the Laboratory facilities, equipment, and instruments. Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree in a scientific/technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and /or relevant experience may be substituted for the degree. City: Newark State: NJ Physical Demands and Work Environment: PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements.
