Why Your Role Matters:
As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in providing practical research and administrative support to the Memory and Ageing Study 2 (MAS2). You will support with conducting in-person interviews with older adult study participants and their informants (a person who knows them well).
You will assist with screening study participants, booking participant and informant interviews, sending questionnaires and feedback letters, and following up on outstanding data. The position also involves entering data where required, maintaining meticulous records, and assisting with general day-to-day tasks in aid of the study.
The role reports to the Study Co-Coordinators and has no direct reports.
Skills and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent, in psychology, behavioural science or a related discipline or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience with client/participant interactions and interviews, preferably with older adults.
- Computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferrable the candidate has experience with online databases (REDCap) and scheduling software (10to8).
- Demonstrated high level of verbal communication skills and a friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload and work independently as well as within a team.
- Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
