Job Description:
Study in America (SIA) is hiring a part-time professional to work up to 20 hours a week as an Operations Assistant for the SIA unit. This position is mostly administrative and holds fiscal responsibility. This position reports to the Coordinator for Study in America.
Job Duties:
- Create POs and requisitions in the TXST systems for payments of invoices to vendors.
- Monitor timely payments to vendors and update accounting spreadsheets.
- Process faculty stipend by entering PCRs and track their approval.
- Coordinate travel requests. This includes creating and submitting travel requests based on the program budget and assisting with the purchase of airfare.
- Coordinate and submit complex expense reports in a timely manner, collecting receipts from faculty upon return and organizing their expenses following the University travel policies and procedures.
- Regularly update knowledge of the university’s travel policies and procedures and actively seek training opportunities to become proficient in managing travel requests, processing expenses reports, and ensuring compliance with institutional guidelines.
