The Department of Health Studies at the Brantford Campus of Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a Tenure-Track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in biological and forensic sciences beginning July 1st, 2026, subject to budgetary approval.
Anticipated Salary Range: $90,000 to $140,000. Actual salary to be commensurate with experience.
The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate courses in the department’s Honours Applied Health Sciences program and the minor and specialization in Physical Forensics. Contributions to service to the University and academic community, and to scholarly and/or professional activities, are also required.
Qualifications for the position include:
- A PhD in Biology, Health Sciences, or a related natural sciences discipline
- A record of ongoing scholarship in the form of peer-reviewed publications in their area(s) of expertise
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in undergraduate courses related to Applied Health Sciences and Physical Forensics
- Experience supervising and mentoring undergraduate students undertaking scientific research
- Experience in curriculum development and course design in Health Sciences and Physical Forensics
- Candidates with laboratory management experience, including Biosafety Level II facilities, are preferred
