Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (http://cbe.nd.edu) at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor from individuals with research interests in forefront problems in chemical engineering aligned with broad department priorities in health, energy, and sustainability.
Topics of interest in biomolecular engineering include but are not limited to systems biology, immunoengineering, synthetic biology, metabolic engineering, biomanufacturing, protein engineering, drug discovery, neural engineering, biomaterials, diagnostics, microbial engineering, and data science. Topics of interest in energy and sustainability include but are not limited to electrical and chemical energy storage, electrification of chemical processes, catalysis, renewable energy, sustainable fuels, sustainable processes, and materials development.
The University has many outstanding instrumentation facilities and Institutes that facilitate development of world-class interdisciplinary research groups.
Position duties include research, teaching, and service in support of the mission of the University of Notre Dame, including respecting the dignity of every person, building a Notre Dame community in which all can flourish, and living in solidarity with all, particularly the most vulnerable. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with a priority date of 10/26/2025. Applications will not be accepted after 12/15/2025.
Candidates must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree or have completed all but dissertation in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
