Tenure-track Assistant Professor in the School of Conflict Studies
The Faculty of Human Sciences at Saint-Paul University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the School of Conflict Studies.
Saint Paul University is a Catholic and bilingual institution of higher learning federated with the University of Ottawa. The university seeks to promote excellence in teaching, research, and professional development at the international, national, and local levels.
Requirements:
- Doctorate related to the study of conflict in a discipline of the social sciences or humanities;
- Strong publication record;
- Significant teaching experience (ideally in person and online);
- Bilingualism: must be able to teach in French and English.
- Expertise in conflict ethics, labour disputes, issues relating to the First Nations, Métis or Inuits, or practical conflict resolution processes would be an asset.
Nature of the role:
- Undergraduate and graduate teaching in Conflict Studies;
- Supervision of master's and doctoral students;
- Contribution to the development of projects, programs, and activities for the School, notably regarding research and publications.
- Participation in various Faculty, University and School committees, including the Faculty Council meetings.
