Applicants must hold a master’s degree in Exercise Science or a closely related field. A Ph.D. is preferred, as are Exercise Science certifications such as CSCS, ACSM-EP, ATC, CEP, CPT, CES, or PES, and prior experience in higher education.
Our new Exercise Science colleague will be responsible for teaching and mentoring in the classroom, laboratory, and other applied learning environments. The faculty member will contribute to the assessment, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of the curriculum, ensuring students are well prepared for careers and advanced study in exercise science and related fields. Responsibilities may include program assessment, curriculum review, and maintaining alignment with current professional standards.
The faculty member will also actively support students and the college community through holistic advising, committee service, and participation in college initiatives. Success in this role requires strong technology skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
This position requires engagement in professional development relevant to their academic field, involving students in scholarly activity such as research or experiential learning is encouraged.
Salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 with attractive benefits package including health plan with dental and vision, retirement plan, and tuition benefits for eligible dependents.
