The Institute of Fine Arts is a graduate educational institution serving MA and PhD students in art and architectural history, archaeology, and fine art conservation. The teaching load is two courses per semester, including graduate seminars and lectures, with occasional courses in NYU's undergraduate programs. Mentoring and advising MA and PhD students is a significant component of this position.
In compliance with New York City's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this Assistant Professor, tenure-track position is $90,000-$140,000 per annum, plus a travel and research stipend and full benefits.

Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a PhD in art history or a related field by September 1, 2027, the anticipated start date of the appointment. Candidates should demonstrate scholarly accomplishment or promise, methodological ambition, and a strong commitment to teaching and advising.
