Creighton University invites applications for a full-time, 11-month tenure track Professor or Associate Professor to be the Program Director for a new Program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.The Program Director will provide visionary leadership and administrative oversight for the initiation, development, and implementation of a new clinical mental health counseling graduate program. A primary responsibility of the Program Director will be leading the program through the process of…
obtaining and maintaining accreditation by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). As such, the successful candidate will need to have expertise in curriculum design, assessment, and compliance with CACREP standards. The Program Director will coordinate program resources and mentor counseling program faculty as well as nurture collaborations across Creighton’s relevant schools and colleges and with institutional leadership to establish a sustainable, high-quality clinical mental health counseling program. In addition, the Program Director will be required to engage in professional associations and with businesses and the local community as necessary to promote the visibility and stature of the program. The successful candidate will be well-supported in a collaborative environment in the College of Arts and Sciences, working within the Department of Education and their multiple programs; however, the program will draw from Creighton’s interdisciplinary and interprofessional strengths. While the program will be primarily online, the Program Director will be required to maintain a strong presence on Creighton’s Omaha campus.
