The successful candidate will lead the core operations of the Emerging Media Initiative, and will be engaged in duties such as advancing the cybersecurity plan, managing security incident response, designing and implementing information infrastructure and systems that will support the future of the university, and participating in education that utilizes advanced digital learning materials.

An internal mid-term review will be conducted in the third year of employment, and a final internal review of research and educational achievements will be held at a predetermined time before the end of the appointment term. Based on the results of the internal review, if the candidate is reappointed, the new appointment will be without a fixed term (tenured).
For a tenure-track associate professor, upon successful completion of the internal review at the end of the term, a promotion to tenured professor or a transition to tenured associate professor is possible. If an extension of the tenure-track period (for a maximum of three years) is approved during the tenure review, a final review will be conducted in the last year of the extended period.
