The Faculty of Arts & Sciences at the American University of Beirut ─ Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) invites applications for a tenure-track Faculty position in Psychology, preferably at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Psychology. A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology is preferred but not required. Candidates from all subfields of psychology are welcome to apply; those with expertise in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, or other areas that complement the department’s strengths will be considered a strong fit. We particularly encourage applications from candidates who:
- Have an established or promising record of research and scholarly publications.
- Demonstrate experience in university-level teaching and curriculum development.
- Have a history of post-doctoral training and/or success in securing external funding.
- Show potential for interdisciplinary collaboration and contribution to the liberal arts ethos of AUB Mediterraneo.
The successful candidate is expected to engage in research, teaching, and mentoring, as well as departmental service, and contribute to the development and growth of the Department of Psychology.

The American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo, a twin campus of the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, is approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) as a branch campus of the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Beirut, Lebanon. AUB operates under a charter granted by the New York State Education Department (NYSED), which registers the university’s degree programs and has approved AUB Mediterraneo as a twin campus of AUB. All departments and programs at AUB Mediterraneo are accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Higher Education (CYQAA). The university welcomed its first cohort of students in the fall of 2023.
