Tenure-track Faculty Positions in Metabolism, Immunology & Chemical Biology at GRC, TW
Job Details
The Genomics Research Center (GRC) is organized into three Divisions - Chemical Biology, Medical Biology, and Metabolic Sciences - aiming to translate discoveries from genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and glycomics into diagnostics and therapeutics for precision health and medicine.
Metabolic Sciences Division
Seeking candidates focused on metabolic and bioenergetic mechanisms relevant to human diseases (e.g., metabolic and chronic inflammatory diseases). Expertise in metabolomics/lipidomics and metabolic flux analyses is particularly encouraged.
Medical Biology Division
Seeking candidates with expertise in immunology, particularly those who apply single-cell/spatial systems biology to study tumor immunology. Candidates using stem cell/organoid tissue development to model human disease are also of interest.
Chemical Biology Division
Seeking expertise in chemical biology with innovative approaches (e.g., synthesis or identification of bioactive molecules/metabolites informed by metabolomics) and/or AI-assisted drug design/development for disease diagnostics and therapeutics.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) with appropriate postdoctoral experience. Successful recruits will be appointed at the levels of Assistant, Associate, or Full Research Fellow (equivalent to Assistant/Associate/Full Professor). A generous start-up package and continuing intramural support will be provided.
Research Environment
The GRC offers a stimulating research environment with core facilities including NMR, Peptide, Mass Spectrometry, metabolomics, Glycan, Pathology, Flow Cytometry, imaging, and Ultra-High-Throughput Drug Screening Facilities. English is the official language for seminars and lectures.
