The IE School of Architecture & Design invites applications for a tenure-track position that combines an architectural background with a focus on urbanism and the intersection of real estate development, sustainability, circularity, and urban placemaking.
Candidates should hold a professional degree and Ph.D. in architecture, urban development, urbanism, or a related field, with a strong record of research, teaching, or professional work addressing the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of urban development. Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration, engagement with industry partners, and the ability to bridge design thinking with market and policy realities are highly desirable.
Successful candidates will teach across undergraduate and graduate programs, contribute to curriculum development in Real Estate Development and Architecture, and play an active role in research and innovation initiatives addressing the future of cities, livability, and sustainable economic development.
The position is a full-time, tenure-track appointment. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. We encourage applications from underrepresented groups and individuals with diverse backgrounds.

Qualification

A doctoral degree in a relevant design or related field, or an advanced stage in obtaining the doctorate.  Demonstrated expertise and experience relevant to the position’s focus.  Research and scholarly publications in relevant disciplines. Proven teaching experience at the university level, including course development and student mentorship.  Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is desirable but not required.
