"Tenure-Track Position in Economics (Econometrics or Industrial Organization)"

Subfield: Econometrics, Industrial organization. The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position in any field with a preference for a focus in Econometrics or Industrial Organization. The appointment is expected to be at the rank of Assistant Professor, but appointments at a higher rank may be possible under exceptional circumstances. The position start date is August 1, 2026. Job Duties: Teaching, research, and service to the institution. All McGill faculty members are expected to contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community.

Qualifications and Education Requirements: Candidates should have completed their PhD or be near completion. An applicant’s record of performance must provide evidence of outstanding research potential and the ability or potential to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as evidence or intentions of undergraduate and graduate supervision and of mentoring students with diverse lived experiences.
