Université Laval, located in Québec City, is a comprehensive university known for excellence in teaching and research. The Department of Geology and Geological Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track position in the field of geomaterials and aggregate technology. Position Overview The successful candidate will:

• Teach and supervise students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Develop a funded, innovative research program aligned with departmental strengths.
• Participate in departmental and faculty activities.
• Contribute to the university’s visibility through external academic engagement.

Selection Criteria Applicants must:

• Hold a bachelor's in geological engineering or a related field, and a Ph.D. relevant to the position (or have submitted their thesis).
• Demonstrate research capability and potential for an independent research program.
• Show ability or potential to teach at all university levels and supervise graduate students.
• Commit to pedagogical innovation and community service.
• Be able to teach in French or commit to doing so within three years.
• Be or become a member of a Canadian professional engineering association within three years.
• Support equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in science and engineering.

Salary and Conditions: Salary will be based on the collective agreement in effect at hiring. Departmental Context The department includes 13 professors, 150 undergraduate students, and over 80 graduate students. Research focuses on:

• Geomaterials
• Mineral resources
• Natural hazard analysis
• Hydrogeology
