The Department of Psychology at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador invites applications for two tenure track positions in Clinical Psychology. Applications at any rank (assistant, associate, and full professor) will be considered. There is a preference that one of the two hires have clinical experience with child populations.
This is an exciting time of growth for the CPA-accredited Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Program at Memorial University. The successful candidates will join an existing faculty of enthusiastic, collaborative, and well-supported clinicians, researchers, and scholars. Qualified applicants must have completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (e.g., PhD, PsyD) and a predoctoral internship from a CPA- or APA-accredited program, and be eligible to apply for registration as a Registered Psychologist (R.Psych.) with the Newfoundland and Labrador Psychology Board. The successful candidate must have a record of excellence in research and teaching, a commitment to mentoring diverse undergraduate and graduate students, and demonstrated passion and ability for clinical supervision. Area of clinical research specialization is open.
The successful applicant will join the Department of Psychology, one of the largest departments in the Faculty of Science. The Department is home to 34 faculty members, and approximately 450 undergraduate and 100 graduate students. The Department has an applied focus with major and honours curriculum (B.Sc. and B.A.), a M.Sc. in Experimental Psychology, a Master of Applied Psychological Science (MAPS) degree, a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology, and the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in clinical psychology.
