Position Title: Tenure-Track Transactional Law Clinic Faculty
Description
Suffolk University Law School invites applications for a tenure-track clinical faculty member direct our Transactional Law Clinic starting in the 2026-27 academic year. We seek candidates with strong academic records and a commitment to excellence in clinical teaching and scholarship. Prior experience in clinical education is preferred, and at least three years of transactional law experience is required. Applicants must be admitted or eligible for admission to the Massachusetts Bar immediately upon beginning the position.
The Transactional Law Clinic will provide students with the transferable legal practical experience they need to navigate a diverse range of transactional law practices. At a minimum, the Clinic will provide free legal services to underserved clients on transactional issues and collaborate with several existing clinics at the Law School, such as the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic and our Legal Innovation and Technology Lab.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can design and grow the Clinic by developing relationships within the transactional legal community, the communities served, the University, the legal academy, and the Bar. In addition to directing the Clinic, the faculty member will be expected to teach one non-clinical course in a related field, contribute to the Law School and community, and produce scholarship.
The Transactional Law Clinic is one of Suffolks 15 year-long, faculty directed clinics. Suffolk Laws Clinics are ranked in the top 10 such programs nationally by U.S. News & World Report and have been ranked among the top 20 for more than a decade. The Transitional Clinic is also a part of Suffolk Laws successful Business and Financial Services concentration.
