Riga Technical University, Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management, invites applications for a vacant tenured professor position associated with the research theme “Unifying Human and Artificial Intelligence for Entrepreneurial and Societal Hyper-Performance.”

Skills/Qualifications
We expect the candidate to:
- develop newly established HyperLab - a human-AI research and innovation lab that uses biometric and behavioural data to understand, test, and design better decisions, systems, and performance in business, security, and society;
- develop a research/ academic group;
- publish the conducted research in top-rated international peer-reviewed journals;
- attract external funding from international research programmes (such as Horizon Europe) and industry, and manage and implement the projects;
- promote the valorization of innovations created as a result of research;
- develop new and improve existing study programs and study courses;
- to introduce innovations in the study process by conducting lectures for master's and doctoral students of the university;
- supervise students' final theses;
- promote international academic cooperation by representing RTU and speaking at conferences and other international events;
- advise and support university academic staff;
- to address and inspire university students to choose an academic career with their example;
- to promote diversity, equality and an inclusive environment at the university through its activities;
- participate in the daily activities of faculties, departments.
Specific Requirements
We invite candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Doctoral degree (PhD)
- At least (3) three years of experience in the position of associate professor, professor, or an equivalent experience in a corresponding position
- Proven excellence in research and academic teaching
- Experience in acquisition and management of research projects
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Fulfilment of all additional eligibility criteria and requirements for the election of applicants to the position of Tenured Professor as defined by Riga Technical University (please see Annex 1 of the RTU Regulation “On Tenured Professorship at Riga Technical University”)

- A permanent tenured position with a gross salary of EUR 6,050 per month for a full-time position.

Selection process
